Since 2010, BIOTRONIK has supported Heartbeat International and their mission to provide life-saving cardiovascular implantable devices and treatment to individuals in the poorest countries. Ninety percent of all Heartbeat International devices implanted are provided by BIOTRONIK and since 2010, we have donated over 9,500 devices, leads, and programmers.

Arturo’s heart problems began when he was only three years old. His father and mother felt scared and helpless. Any surgery to help Arturo would be well above what the family could afford and they were both terrified of the day Arturo wouldn’t wake up in the morning.

Arturo’s family found hope when they met Dr. Ricardo Meneses of Heartbeat International and Arturo received a life-saving pacemaker implant.

Thanks to Heartbeat International, Arturo can now run around and play with his friends.
